
This 10-week program will immerse 15 students in discussions and guest speaker events pertaining to public health, marginalized communities in medicine, and access to surgical care. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate signed by DGSOM faculty and recognized by the UCLA Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Guest speakers will include surgeons, physicians, healthcare administrators, public policy experts, and more.
Meetings will alternate between Guest Lectures on zoom or in-person and Discussions in-person (location TBD) and be held Tuesday 3:30 to 4:30. Discussions will be student-led.
